What is that, on the surface of the moon(looks like a valley)?

to see what i mean check moon pictures taken by appollo|||Check the moon pictures taken by Apollo? Which ones, for heaven's sake? Apollo missions took literally THOUSDANDS of pictures of the lunar surface. Unless you can direct us to a specific picture that shows the feature you want to ask about we cannot possibly answer that question in any meaningful way.|||There are many things on the Moon which look like valleys, and they are (drum roll please!) valleys.|||The surface of the moon is covered with dust of varying reflectivity. Unless you are more specific, I can't tell you exactly what you're talking about. It could be, as the first answer stated, that it is a crater. Or it could be an lava plain or something else.|||its actually called crater it is said that it is filled with nothing but darkness|||It's the place where the moon split in half 1400 years ago (see kamal Q's question, lol).

Seriously, it's probably a crater or just an area of darker colored dust.

Happy moongazing.
